Comprehensive Obesity Test

With the growing prevalence of obesity and its associated health risks, it is crucial to take control of your health. T-lab offers a Comprehensive Obesity Test that provides an in-depth analysis of factors contributing to weight gain and obesity-related conditions. This test covers essential metabolic functions and screens for conditions like diabetes, thyroid imbalances, and other health indicators linked to obesity

Duration: 1 Day
Special Requirements: Fasting for 10-12 hours

Profile Includes:

General Tests:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC): Assesses overall health and detects a variety of disorders, such as anemia, infection, and many other conditions.
  • Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): Measures the rate at which red blood cells settle at the bottom of a test tube, helping detect inflammation.
  • Fasting Blood Sugar (Glucose): Screens for diabetes by measuring blood sugar levels after fasting.
  • C-Reactive Protein (CRP): Identifies inflammation in the body, which can be associated with various diseases.

Lipid Profile:

  • Total Cholesterol: Measures the overall cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • Triglycerides: Screens for high triglyceride levels, which can indicate an increased risk of heart disease.
  • HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) Cholesterol: Known as “good” cholesterol, helps remove bad cholesterol from arteries.
  • Cholesterol/HDL Ratio: Determines the risk of heart disease by calculating the ratio between total cholesterol and HDL.
  • Non-HDL Cholesterol: Total cholesterol minus HDL, helping assess cardiovascular risk.
  • LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) Cholesterol: Measures “bad” cholesterol, which can build up in arteries and cause heart disease.

Liver Function Tests:

  • Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT/GPT): Measures liver enzyme levels to check for liver damage.
  • Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST/GOT): Helps identify liver or muscle damage.
  • Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (g-GT): Detects liver disease and bile duct problems.
  • Alkaline Phosphatase: An enzyme that indicates liver, bone, or bile duct conditions.
  • Bilirubin (Total and Direct): Measures liver function and helps diagnose liver diseases or conditions causing jaundice.

Thyroid Function Tests:

  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Assesses thyroid gland function and can help identify hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.

Diabetes Screen:

  • Hemoglobin A1c: Measures average blood glucose levels over the past three months to screen for diabetes or monitor its management.
